Barnefengsel også på Island

Fra Island har vi mottatt denne henvendelsen:

Hello.

Here up in Iceland we have had our share of imprisonment of children. I myself was imprisoned in a forced labor camp here for 2 years at the age of 11 - 13. In this camp we where physically, mentally and sexually abused.
The name of this place was Breidavik, and it is now under investigation.
We the former "inmates" children that where transferred there without a trial or proper sentencing, we where simply put pulled out of society and then a few years later released into society again scared for life.
Of the 130 boys that where prisoner in Breidavik from 1952 - 1980 around 50% have died most by own hand another 20 - 25% are in really bad shape due to heavy use of drugs and alcohol.

A documentary about the Breidavik prison is being made now and will première on October 7 in Reykjavik. Trailer can be found at www.breidavik.com.
We have opened a website www.breidavikursamtokin.is where we will tell our tales and provide information on what is going on both on the matters of the Breidavik prison and other such places in Iceland.

With hope that this small tip will help and hopefully end up on your page.
